1. SSC JE 2025 Notification – Overview

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Recruitment 2025 notification to fill 1340 vacancies across Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines. 3. Eligibility Criteria

  1. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
  2. CPWD, CWC: Up to 32 years, All Other Departments: Up to 30 years

  3. Age Relaxation (As per Govt. Norms)
    • SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD (UR/EWS): 10 years, PwBD (OBC): 13 years, PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service
    • Defence Personnel (Disabled) – UR/OBC: 3 years
    • Defence Personnel (Disabled) – SC/ST: 8 years

    Note: Age and Date of Birth must match the Matriculation Certificate.

    Important: Only male candidates are eligible to apply for BRO posts.

    JE (E&M) – MES Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering + 2 years experience

  5. Note: Fee once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
  6. Incomplete application forms due to failed fee payment will be rejected.

6. How to Apply SSC SSC JE 2025

  1. Visit the official SSC website: https://ssc.gov.in
  2. Click on the "Apply" button; a pop-up window will appear with a list of job applications.
  3. From the list, select and apply for "Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination,2025".
  4. Log in using your credentials or complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if you are a new user.
  5. Fill in your personal, educational, and communication details.
  6. Upload your live photograph and scanned signature (as per guidelines).
  7. Pay the application fee online via UPI/Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card (if applicable).
  8. Review all details and submit the application form.
  9. Download and save a copy of the submitted application for future reference.

7. Important Documents Required – SSC JE 2025

  1. At the Time of Online Application:
    • Live Photograph: Captured via webcam (real-time on portal)
    • Scanned Signature: JPEG format, 10–20 KB (6 cm x 2 cm)
    • PwBD Certificate (if applicable): PDF/JPEG format as per Annexures

    • Matriculation/10th Certificate (as proof of Date of Birth)

8. Selection Process – SSC JE 2025

  1. Paper-I (CBT):
    • Objective type
    • Total Marks: 200 (covers General Intelligence, Awareness & Engineering subjects)
    • Duration: 2 hours (2 hrs 40 mins for PwBD candidates)
    • Negative Marking: 0.25 mark per wrong answer
  2. Paper-II (CBT):
    • Objective type, subject-specific (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical)
    • Total Marks: 300
    • Duration: 2 hours (2 hrs 40 mins for PwBD candidates)
    • Negative Marking: 1 mark per wrong answer
  3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents for final verification.
  4. Final Selection: Based on the combined marks of Paper-I and Paper-II. No interview will be conducted.
  5. Scores will be normalized if exams are conducted in multiple shifts.
