1. IBPS PO 2025 Notification – Overview

IBPS has released the CRP-PO/MT-XV 2025 notification to fill 5208 Probationary Officer vacancies in 11 public sector banks. Online applications are open from 1st July to 21st July 2025.

The selection process includes Prelims, Mains, a Personality Test, and Interview. Graduates aged 20–30 years can apply.

Application Fee: ₹850 for General/OBC and ₹175 for SC/ST/PwBD categories.

Preliminary exam is scheduled in August 2025, and the Main exam will be held in October 2025.

3. Eligibility Criteria for IBPS PO/MT CRP-XV 2025

  1. Nationality / Citizenship: Candidate must be either:
    • A citizen of India, or
    • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
    • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, or
    • A person of Indian origin who migrated from select countries for permanent settlement in India.
  2. Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates must have their final result declared on or before 21st July 2025 and provide valid mark sheets or certificates during registration and document verification.
  3. Age Limit: 20 to 30 years as on 01.07.2025 (Born between 02.07.1995 and 01.07.2005, both dates inclusive).
  4. Age Relaxation: Permissible upper age relaxations are:
    • SC/ST – 5 years
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years
    • PwBD – 10 years
    • Ex-Servicemen / ECOs / SSCOs – 5 years
  5. Credit History: Candidates must have a satisfactory credit history and CIBIL score, with no outstanding dues. NOC is required if issues are reflected in reports. This clause is not applicable to those without a bank account.
  6. Important Notes:
    • Eligibility criteria must be met as of the closing date (21st July 2025).
    • No change of category is allowed after online registration.
    • All relevant original documents must be produced during the interview process.

6. How to Apply – IBPS PO 2025

  1. Visit the official IBPS website: www.ibps.in
  2. Click on the link CRP PO/MT and then choose Apply Online for CRP-PO/MT-XV.
  3. Register using “Click Here for New Registration” and enter your basic details to generate a Registration ID and Password.
  4. Log in using the generated credentials and complete the application form with personal, educational, and communication details.
  5. Upload the required documents: Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression, Handwritten Declaration, and SSC/SSLC Certificate.
  6. Pay the application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or Wallets.
  7. Submit the form and download the application form and e-receipt for future reference.
  8. Keep your registered email ID and mobile number active for all future communications from IBPS.

7. Required Documents – IBPS PO 2025 (With Size & Format)

  1. Photograph: Recent passport-size color photo.

8. Selection Process – IBPS PO 2025

  1. Preliminary Examination: Objective type online test with three sections – English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. Candidates must qualify each section to proceed to the Mains.
  2. Main Examination: Includes Objective and Descriptive tests. Objective tests cover Reasoning, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. Descriptive test includes Essay and Letter writing.
  3. Personality Test: All candidates who qualify the Mains must take a non-qualifying Personality Test (Self-report).
  4. Interview: Conducted by participating banks. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD). Interview carries 100 marks.
  5. Final Merit: Based on combined performance in Main Examination (80% weightage) and Interview (20% weightage). Candidates are provisionally allotted to banks based on merit-cum-preference.
  6. Document Verification & Provisional Allotment: Candidates must produce original documents at the time of interview and join the allotted bank upon final selection.

  1. English Language: Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Spotting, Sentence Improvement, Para Jumbles, Fill in the Blanks, Vocabulary & Grammar.
  2. Quantitative Aptitude: Simplification, Approximation, Number Series, Data Interpretation, Quadratic Equations, Profit & Loss, Time & Work, Speed & Distance, Ratio, Average, Simple & Compound Interest.
  3. Reasoning Ability: Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Inequality, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Input-Output, Order and Ranking.

B. Main Exam Syllabus

  1. Reasoning & Computer Aptitude: Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Input-Output, Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Logical Reasoning, Data Sufficiency, Blood Relations, Basic Computer Fundamentals, Networking, MS Office, Internet, Keyboard Shortcuts.
  2. General / Economy / Banking Awareness: Current Affairs (last 6 months), Banking & Financial Awareness, Economic Terms, RBI Policies, Government Schemes, Static GK, Budget & Economic Survey.
  3. English Language: Reading Comprehension, Para Jumbles, Error Spotting, Sentence Completion, Cloze Test, Vocabulary, Grammar Usage.
  4. Data Analysis & Interpretation: Pie Charts, Bar Graphs, Tables, Caselets, Line Graphs, Missing Data Interpretation, Probability, Data Sufficiency, Arithmetic Word Problems.
  5. Descriptive Test (English): Essay Writing and Letter Writing on banking/social issues or current topics.

12. Salary & Posting Details – IBPS PO 2025

  1. Basic Pay: ₹48,480/- as per the revised pay scale under the 11th Bipartite Settlement.
  2. Pay Scale: ₹48,480 – ₹1,47,200 (with periodic increments and promotions).
  3. Gross Monthly Salary: Approximately ₹65,000 to ₹75,000 depending on location and bank.
  4. Allowances: Includes DA, HRA, CCA, Special Allowance, Medical Benefits, and Travel Allowances.
  5. Other Benefits: Leased Accommodation or HRA, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Pension Scheme, Health Insurance, and Career Growth Opportunities.
  6. Posting Location: Candidates may be posted anywhere in India as per the bank’s requirement.
  7. Probation Period: Usually 2 years during which performance is assessed and training is provided.
  8. Transfer Policy: Governed by the respective bank’s internal HR policies; may involve interstate postings.
  9. Joining Date: Final allotment and joining are expected by January / February 2026.
