1. Description
The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) for the year 2025-26 under Advertisement No. CRPD/PO/2025-26/04. A total of 541 vacancies have been announced across various categories.
The application process will be conducted online from 24th June to 14th July 2025. Eligible graduates aged between 21 and 30 years can apply. The recruitment process includes three phases – Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Interview with Psychometric Test.
Candidates selected will receive a starting basic pay of ₹48,480 and an approximate CTC of ₹20.43 LPA.

3. Eligibility
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 to 30 years as of 01 April 2025 (i.e., born between 02.04.1995 and 01.04.2004). Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and up to 15 years for PwBD depending on category.
- Educational Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification as on or before 30 September 2025. Candidates appearing in their final semester/year may also apply provisionally, but must produce proof of passing by the specified date.
- Number of Attempts: General category candidates: 4 attempts; OBC and PwBD: 7 attempts; SC/ST candidates: Unlimited attempts (within age limit). Attempts are counted from exams held on or after 18 April 2010.

5. Application Fee

6. How to Apply SBI PO Online 2025
- Visit the official SBI Careers website: https://bank.sbi/web/careers/current-openings
- Click on “RECRUITMENT OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS 2025” and then click “Apply Online”. You will be redirected to the IBPS application portal: https://ibpsonline.ibps.in/sbipomay25/
- Register yourself by providing basic details and generate your Registration Number and Password.
- Upload a live photograph using a webcam or mobile camera as per instructions.
- Fill the SBI PO 2025 online application form with accurate personal, educational, and contact details.
- Upload scanned copies of photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and handwritten declaration in the prescribed format.
- Pay the applicable fee online using debit/credit card, UPI, or net banking.
- Review all entered details carefully and submit the application before the last date.
- Download and print the submitted application form and fee receipt for future reference.
7. Required Documents to Apply SBI PO Online
- Valid Email ID and Mobile Number (to receive registration confirmation, OTPs, and communication)
- Aadhaar Card or any other valid Photo ID proof (e.g., PAN, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License)
- Recent passport-size photograph (colored, white background, 20–50 KB, JPEG/JPG format)
- Live webcam/mobile-captured photograph during application submission (mandatory)
- Scanned Signature (black ink, 140×60 px, 10–20 KB, JPEG/JPG format)
- Left-hand Thumb Impression (black/blue ink, 240×240 px, 20–50 KB, JPEG/JPG format)
- Handwritten Declaration (as per format, in black ink, 800×400 px, 50–100 KB, JPEG/JPG)
- Graduation Degree Certificate or Final Year Marksheet (proof of qualification as on or before 30-09-2025)
- Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC candidates, issued on or after 01-04-2025 in prescribed format)
- Income and Asset Certificate (for EWS candidates, valid for FY 2025–26)
- PwBD Certificate (for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, issued by competent authority)

Note: SBI may capture your photo, thumb impression, or IRIS scan for biometric verification at various stages. Any mismatch may lead to disqualification.
8. SBI PO 2025 Selection Process
- Phase-I: Preliminary Exam – Objective test for 100 marks with three sections (English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning). Duration: 1 hour.
- Phase-II: Main Exam – Objective test for 200 marks (Reasoning, Data Analysis, GA, English) + Descriptive test for 50 marks (Email, Report, Precis/Situation Analysis). Duration: 3.5 hours total.
- Phase-III: Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Interview – Psychometric profiling followed by 20-mark Group Exercise and 30-mark Personal Interview.
- Final merit list will be prepared based on normalized scores of Phase-II (75 marks) and Phase-III (25 marks).
- Marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam (Phase-I) will not be counted for final selection.
- Candidates must qualify each phase separately to move to the next stage.

10. SBI PO Salary 2025
- Basic Pay: ₹48,480/- with 4 advance increments on the scale of ₹36,000–1490/7–46430–1740/2–49910–1990/7–63840.
- Gross Monthly Salary: Approx. ₹82,000–₹89,000 depending on the posting location (includes DA, HRA, CCA, etc.).
- CTC (Cost to Company): Approx. ₹20.43 lakhs per annum (for Mumbai-based posting).
- Allowances: DA, HRA/Lease Rental, CCA, Medical, Furniture, Petrol, Newspaper, Travel Allowance, etc.
- Probation Period: 2 years. During this period, POs undergo training and are evaluated on performance.
- Bond: ₹2 Lakhs bond amount applicable. Candidate must serve a minimum of 3 years after joining or repay the bond.
